Product Description
This is unique product which contains both Japanese matcha and genmaicha.
Matcha (ζΉθΆ) is a variety of finely-powdered green tea. Matcha Uji means "froth of liquid jade" and the cultural activity called the Japanese tea ceremony centers around the preparation, serving, and drinking of matcha.
Genmaincha is a blend of bancha green tea and Genmai (roasted rice grain). It is an exotic Japanese recipe with tender and delicate green tea leaves. First used by farmers as a cost-saving measure, GenmaiCha remains to be one of the most popular tea in morden Japan. Genmai Cha has less caffeine and tastes less astringent. Proportioning of tea to rice is important, the more aromatic Genmaicha teas have a higher amount of rice. Other blends are known including Matcha and Genmaicha. The tea can be infused with high temperature water and for longer infusion periods than most Japanese teas. The Genmaicha teas are seen as a modest source of vitamin B1 and like bancha and houjicha contain less caffeine.
"
There is nothing quite like the distinctive taste of Genmaincha Tea, with its blend of green Japanese Sencha tea, partially toasted rice and popped corn. Refreshing and light, the tea retains aromas of toasted rice, which adds a body and sweetness to the finish.
