Quick Overview

20g x 10 small packs
Korean Red Ginseng Honey Sliced

Product Description

This health food product, native to the Republic of Korea, includes 10 small backs (20g each) of slices of pure red Ginseng root.

Panax Red Ginseng, otherwise known as Korean ginseng, or Chinese red ginseng is the go-to herb for mega energy (qi) boost. Its properties are more yang based (think sun as yang, moon as yin), hence it has more of a “go-go” image. Take a few slices before working out to boost your energy and stamina. Or add a few slices to trail mix for a delicious and natural burst of energy! Simply eat 2 to 4 slices a day (for best results, use before meals) or soak 2 to 4 pieces in half a cup of hot water, let steep for 5 minutes then drink the water and chew the slices.

MEDICAL BENEFITS OF RED GINSENG: (from Wikipedia)
Red ginseng (Korean=홍삼(hong-sam), simplified Chinese: 红蔘; traditional Chinese: 紅蔘), is P. ginseng that has been heated, either through steaming or sun-drying. It is frequently marinated in an herbal brew which results in the root becoming extremely brittle. This version of ginseng is traditionally associated with stimulating sexual function and increasing energy. Red ginseng is always produced from cultivated roots, usually from either China or South Korea.

In 2002, a preliminary double-blind, crossover study of Korean red ginseng's effects on impotence reported that it can be an effective alternative for treating male erectile dysfunction.

A separate study shows that Red ginseng reduces the relapse of gastric cancer versus control.

Anoyther study of ginseng's effects on rats shows that while both white ginseng and red ginseng reduce the incidence of cancer, the effects appear to be greater with red ginseng.

Falcarinol, a seventeen-carbon diyne fatty alcohol was isolated from carrot and red ginseng, shown to have potent anticancer properties on primary mammary epithelial (breast cancer) cells.[26] Other acetylenic fatty alcohols in ginseng (panaxacol, panaxydol, panaxytriol) have antibiotic properties.
